Budgeting is about being aware of absolutely everything that you spend money on. A good budget will ensure that you don't spend over the amount that you have coming into your home each week. It will take into account all outgoings from paying your mortgage to that coffee on the way to work.

Budgeting Tips
  • Firstly don't bury your head in the sand. If you are getting into financial difficulty you will feel better if you have a shrewd look at your finances.

  • Be realistic. You may not be able to sort out financial difficulties straight away. Once you can see clearly where your money goes you can choose what to do about it.

  • Giving 10% to your church or a charity or another cause should be something you think about doing. Though it goes against human instinct to do so when you are short of money evidence shows that whatever you sow will be returned to you. It is returned to you multiplied. It is a Biblical principle that is also shown to work in business models around the world.

  • Make a budget. Find out how to make a budget and then stick to it. You will soon start to see the benefits of it.
