Snacks for Toddlers
Recipes for Toddlers

Snacks for toddlers, toddler snacks need to be healthy and be offered mid morning and mid afternoon. Toddlers can get very grumpy if they do not have something to eat regularly. If your toddler is a picky eater try to use snack time to balance out your toddlers nutritional needs. Try some of these snacks and see which your toddler likes.

Your toddler should always sit down when eating and there should be an adult supervising their eating. The reason for this is that toddlers can easily choke by putting too much food in their mouths, or by running around with food in their mouths.

Cereal Mix

  • Dry Cheerios or Kix cereal mixed with chopped raisins served in a bowl.

Roll Ups

1/2 piece of this will be enough for a toddler snack.

Give protein snacks in the form of eggs or cheese if your toddler does not eat properly at meals. As you can see you can use snack time effectively to support meal times. Finger foods for toddlers make great snacks. The most important thing is to remember not to get into fights around food. Offer what you want your toddler to eat. Only have healthy food in the house so you are not tempted to give high fat and high sugar foods.
