This article is all about Toddler Birthday Parties...great toddler birthday party ideas...ideas to plan a toddler party.
Organising parties for little ones can be stressful and lead to tears (not just your toddlers). The secret to organising a great toddler party is to keep it simple and arrange them to fit in with your toddler's routine. I used to enjoy orgamising a special day for our little ones. As well as being special for them it gave us as an extended family reason to get together to celebrate our children.
Probably the most special of your childrens birthdays is their first, Check out our ideas for a first birthday party here. Some years we would choose to go for a day trip with the family, perhaps to the zoo or a local farm park. Other times we would meet at a family friendly restaurant and share a meal together. Whatever we did the aim was to keep the day simple and stress free.
We tried where possible to arrange the day around out toddlers routines. This meant that they enjoyed the day much more. Instead of overwhelming our toddlers we tried to keep things low key in the early years.
Of course toddler birthday parties are great and can be good fun. A great way to avoid mess and stress is to have your party away from home. Meeting at a zoo or even the local park on a fine day will work out well.
We used to take along a picnic and cupcakes for a birthdy cake. The toddlers then had space to play and climb and there was no mess to clear up at home. Our friends could then relax and enjoy the day too.
If you need to have the party indoors many soft play areas do parties. This may be ideal as you just need to get there a short while before your guests with a cake. A hall may work for you too although you will then need to do the catering and provide entertainment.
Games at your toddler birthday parties need only be simple and short. Toddlers will prefer to play individually with toys. Try to avoid competetive games as toddlers are sore losers. Toddler birthay party games should be fun, but short.
Whatever you decide to do I hope you will have a great time. Don't forget to keep your camera or camcorder handy.
