This article is about toddler safety items. It is very important to be aware of safety as toddlers can get themselves into mischief very easily. This may seem a lot of equipment but remember it will last for years and will keep your toddler safe and give you piece of mind.

Furniture

• They come in pairs, you will need to use the pair for one piece of furniture.

• These Safety Straps will hold your TV in place.
• TV's are very heavy and will cause your toddler injury if it can fall so secure it. This is easy to install and will give you peace of mind.

Table corners

• To protect your toddlers from corners of furniture like coffee tables use these table edge guards.
• You can cut this to size so it's great. For thicker style tables try these thick table corners

This stretches around your square or round table edge. It comes in beige or black and has corner inserts for extra cushioning at corners.

Outlet covers and leads

• These Outlet Cover & Cord Shortener cover the socket and the plug to prevent a toddler pulling pluga out of a socket.
• They are easy to install, however they won't fit if your sockets are very low to the floor.

• These outlet plugs are very inexpensive, but take a little manipulation to get in and out of outlets.
• We use them in most of our sockets although you may prefer to use them in less used sockets.

Fireplace

• This works really well to protect little ones from the shar edges of a hearth. It is very easy to put on as well.

• It is sturdy and can be used for fireplaces, wood burning stoves and barbeques. Additional sections can be added if required.

Toddler Safety Items

Windows

• If you have cords on drapes or window blinds you will need to make sure they are out of reach of your toddlers so they cannot get caught up in them.
• These Retractable Blindwinder Blind Cord Shortener blindwinders are easy to use, you can paint them to match you room decor and they retract the cord at the press of a button. Really simple to use.

• This Super Stopper window stopper will stop your toddlers from opening your windows, patio doors, or closet doors from being opened so your toddler can get through.

Bathrooms

Kitchen and utility room

• This Child Safety Oven and Microwave Lock will keep your toddler safe from burns.
• These Fridge Guard Appliance Child Lock CLEAR 131Cwill keep your curious toddler out of your fridge or freezer. We used one of these until our autistic daughter was around 6 to prevent her pinching food constantly.

• This Dreambaby Stove Top Guardis great, it stops toddlers pulling hot pans from the stove over themselves.

• These Magnet Locks by Kidco (4 locks per package - key sold separately) are ideal to keep the contents of your cabinets away from your toddler.
• Safe Lok Cabinet and Drawer Locks (6 pack) with Temporary Disable Feature by Mommy's Helper are great for keeping contents of your drawers away from chubby fingers.

This Tee-Zed F135 Cabinet Glide Lock Extra Long will keep cabinet doos from being opened at all by toddlers. it attaches around two cabinet handles.

Stairways

• Whatever you do don't forget your stairgates they are a vital piece of equipment to keep your toddler safe of you have flights of stairs, they are also ideal for doorways either keeping your toddler in or out of a room.
